Driven DynamiX vs PDK Answers sooner.
Costs a tenth.

Driven DynamiX builds turnkey six-axis simulators: the DDX Precision at $84,500 and the DDX Prime at $159,500. By its own figures the DDX Precision answers the game in 2.5 to 3.5 ms. The PDK goes from input to motion in under 1 ms, and the PDK + ARK Ecosystem is $8,499.99 (€8,699.99 in the EU). Every figure below is each maker's own, with the points it was measured between.

In plain terms

Where the two part.

The DDX Precision, as published

A finished cockpit at $84,500, with a PC, a Simucube 3 Pro wheelbase, pedals, a 49-inch screen, the DDX Belt Tensioner and DDX AeroSurge, delivered and installed in the continental US. 2.5 to 3.5 ms from telemetry to motion, 100 Hz of motion bandwidth, 500 mm of surge on its own. The DDX Prime is the larger version at $159,500.

The PDK + ARK Ecosystem

$8,499.99 (€8,699.99 in the EU): the platform, the aluminium racing chassis, extension feet and table, and our direct-drive wheelbase, wheel, load-cell pedals and button box, matched and tuned as one system. Under 1 ms from input to motion, 1 kHz of motion bandwidth, 3 g on all six axes, fully loaded (250 kg), on a 1.57 m circle of floor and a domestic socket. You add the seat, PC and screen.

The PDK goes from input to motion in under 1 ms; Driven DynamiX publishes 2.5 to 3.5 ms, from raw simulation telemetry “arriving at Dynamo” to motion onset. The PDK carries ten times the motion bandwidth. Driven DynamiX publishes more travel, and a higher peak g with a 100 kg rider; the PDK reaches 3 g on all six axes, fully loaded (250 kg), on a different basis. Its price buys a finished, installed cockpit. Ours buys the motion and the controls for a tenth of it.
