Choose DOFReality

They have shipped a great many kits to a great many builders, the community around them is long-established, and a geared screw actuator holds a static load without drawing current — which is a genuine engineering advantage, not a compromise.

Choose the PDK

You want no transmission in the load path at all, absolute encoders on every motor, and pneumatic rather than geared static-load handling — at a lower entry price than the comparable six-axis kit.

The framing

We are cheaper here, and it would be easy to lean on that. Price is not an argument about fidelity. The argument is the load path; the price is just where this one happens to land.
